The search continues
Monday, August 14, 2017 by Elizabeth Pagano
Last week, City Council took another official step forward in its search for a new city manager. While there was a bit of deliberation about the final wording for the profile that will help narrow the field of candidates, it was also an opportunity to hone in on some dates for the hiring process. Steve Newton, who is with Russell Reynolds Associates (the consultant firm heading up the search) told Council members that he would be back before them the week of Oct. 2 with an initial, vetted, pool of candidates with the idea they would be interviewed by Council members between Oct. 9 and Oct. 16. He said he expects the second round of interviews will take place around the first week of November, and the aim is to finish the search by year’s end.
