Austinites file suit against Uber and Lyft

In case you missed it, yesterday afternoon’s Uber/Lyft saga continued. The latest chapter comes via two lawsuits, filed against Uber and Lyft, that claim the companies violated labor laws by pulling up stakes so abruptly in Austin. The lawsuits were filed by two Austinites — former Uber driver Todd Johnston and former Lyft driver David Thorton. Both suits can be read in their entirety here and here.
