It’s Thursday, let’s fight

Now that it’s had some time to digest it, Community Not Commodity is ready to weigh in on the second draft of CodeNEXT. Today, the group will hold a press conference where it promises to lay out its biggest problems with the draft and “highlight the geographic diversity of its opposition.” The conference will take place at 11 a.m. today at City Hall. Later in the afternoon, the Save Our Springs Alliance is ready to argue against the “downtown puzzle” and, apparently, Visit Austin itself with a call to its supporters to oppose Items 52 (the puzzle) and 15 (Visit Austin’s budget) on the agenda.
