TCAD searches for applications
Thursday, June 2, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano
If you live in Travis County, you might have an opinion about the Travis Central Appraisal District. Well, the Travis County Commissioners Court is now offering a chance to get involved as a qualified member of the TCAD Board of Directors. The county is accepting applications now through June 10 to fill one seat on the board that will expire at the end of this year (though the appointee will be eligible for a two-year reappointment after that). The Board of Directors is tasked with hiring the chief appraiser and approving the annual budget. Eligible candidates have to have been residents of Travis County for at least two years. However, there are a number of circumstances that could disqualify a candidate. Those circumstances, and an application, can be found online here.
