Take a virtual tunnel tour today
Wednesday, May 20, 2020 by Tai Moses
You may be growing a bit tired of all the virtual this and virtual that. But today at 12:30 p.m. you can take a virtual tour designed to give you an up-close look at something rather special: the Waller Creek Tunnel. This live, interactive tour, presented by Waterloo Greenway’s director of planning and design John Rigdon and Watershed Protection Department’s Kristin Pipkin, gives participants a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the mile-long tunnel, which stretches from Waterloo Park to Lady Bird Lake and sits 70 feet below the surface. You must RSVP in advance in order to receive the GoToMeeting videoconference details. A full recording of the tour will be posted at WaterlooGreenway.org on Thursday.
