Rodriguez out
Thursday, November 2, 2017 by Elizabeth Pagano
Yesterday, Mayor Steve Adler announced he would be withdrawing his nomination of Frank Rodriguez to the Charter Review Commission. His statement read in full: “I’ve learned that members of the Charter Review Commission are required to live in Austin, and since Frank lives in Dripping Springs I’ll need to nominate someone else. It’s best Austin residents recommend Charter changes.” Up until recently, Rodriguez served as Adler’s aide, and recently made news for his ties to a local nonprofit, denials that those ties were improper and calls for him to step down from the Charter Review Commission.
