Renteria formally sworn in at Capital Metro
Thursday, June 16, 2016 by Caleb Pritchard
City Council Member Pio Renteria has added another title to his collection: Capital Metro Board Member. The District 3 representative was formally sworn in to his new role at a special board meeting on Wednesday morning. He replaces Ann Stafford, whose second consecutive three-year term ended last month. Renteria joins Council Member Delia Garza as Council’s pair of appointees to the board. Council Member Ann Kitchen is also a Capital Metro board member, representing the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. In Capital Metro’s official announcement last week, Renteria said, “I’m eager to join the Capital Metro board of directors and work to provide more reliable, affordable and sustainable transportation options for families in our region.”
