Parkland report deadline extended

Anyone anxiously awaiting the output of the Parkland Events Task Force will have to wait a bit longer. Although the group was originally slated to deliver its report to the Open Space, Environment and Sustainability Committee by this June, a slow start delayed the task force from convening until August, months after its March 2015 approval. So, yesterday, City Council extended that deadline until September 2016 in a unanimous vote.
