Parking changes coming to One Texas Center
Wednesday, September 6, 2017 by Nina Hernandez
This week, there will be some changes to note in the parking situation at the One Texas Center on Barton Springs Road. The city has been working on ways it can free up space for citizens who have business with the Development Services Department. Beginning yesterday, the surface lot on South First Street and its parking garage both offer a limited amount of free parking. Without validation, visitors can now get up to 45 minutes of free parking. With validation, that goes up to two hours. Any Development Services customers can have their parking tickets validated at various receptionist desks in the building. That includes land use review, building inspections and building plan review. Find the new rules on the city’s website. Write DSDHelp@austintexas.org with any hiccups or questions.
