North Lamar International District gets new gateway
Monday, March 25, 2019 by Tai Moses
The North Lamar International District Merchants Association has just installed a new gateway at Braker Lane and North Lamar Boulevard to showcase a diverse corridor of more than 65 businesses, restaurants and retailers. The installation features three flags representing the district’s many languages, countries, visitors and traditions. Visitors to the district will find a rich variety of culinary offerings along with markets and specialty stores, banks, beauty salons, travel agencies, insurance and tax services, and florists. NLIDMA has been working with the Economic Development Department’s Souly Austin Program for the past two years in a process that has helped area business leaders activate their brand and share what makes the district special.
