Lone Star EMMY goes to EMS recruitment video
Wednesday, August 10, 2016 by Nora Ankrum
A recruitment video about the lives of Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services medics has won a Lone Star EMMY Award in the “Public/Current/Community Affairs-Feature/Segment” category, according to an announcement from the city. The video, available for viewing here, follows medics through their experiences at the academy and in the field. Austin-Travis County EMS collaborated with the city of Austin’s ATXN Channel 6 on the project. This award is actually Austin-Travis County EMS’ second Lone Star EMMY. It received its first for a public-service announcement about underage drinking.
