Help shape the Equity Office
Tuesday, May 17, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano
A long-awaited city Equity Office is an imminent reality, and the city would like Austinites to weigh in on its mission and vision. To that end, there will be two public meetings held on Wednesday, May 25 and Thursday, May 26. A press release from the city promises that the meetings will be the first “of many opportunities” to offer opinions on the new office, which is intended to reinforce the city’s “commitment to equity in the programs and services it provides to Austin residents.” Details on the meetings are here, and those unable to attend can call 311 or email EquityOffice@austintexas.gov.
