Help inform Austin
Tuesday, September 4, 2018 by Chad Swiatecki
The Austin Tech Alliance nonprofit is soliciting help and information from community organizations throughout Travis County that are gathering political questionnaires from candidates ahead of the November elections. ATA is looking to create a searchable set of all questionnaires for the fall election, with the goal of helping voters sort through the information by district, candidate, cause or community organization. The effort, which was recently launched and will be heavily publicized beginning in late September, is online at Informed.Vote, where interested organizations can fill out a basic form to have their political questionnaires entered into the larger data set. The intention of Informed.Vote is to keep candidates’ information and positions on important topics from becoming siloed based on a potential voter not knowing what political organizations had engaged with them and compiled their information.
