Tuesday, August 6, 2019 by Tai Moses
Mayor Steve Adler will join Council members Kathie Tovo, Ann Kitchen and Greg Casar for a panel discussion on homelessness, moderated by professor Donald F. Kettl from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and hosted by the Downtown Austin Alliance. They’ll discuss the recent changes to the city’s camping and sit/lie ordinances and talk about plans to move forward now that the city has hired a new homeless strategy officer. The event is open to the entire community, with RSVP requested. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 10-11:30 a.m., in Ballroom A of the Austin Convention Center, 500 E. Cesar Chavez St.
