County fills final vacancy at affordable housing agencies
Wednesday, June 1, 2016 by Caleb Pritchard
The Travis County Commissioners Court appointed on Tuesday the fifth and final member to the newly reformed boards that govern two affordable housing agencies. In a 4-0 vote, the court named Robbye Meyer to fill the vacancies at the Housing Authority of Travis County and the Strategic Housing Finance Corporation. Commissioner Ron Davis was off the dais. In April, the court restructured the boards to include the same five members each. Meyer, a real estate development consultant and former director and manager of family finance at the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, was the sole candidate interviewed for the position. A second finalist, Henry Flores, dropped out of the running, citing potential conflicts of interest.
