AYC to talk transportation
Tuesday, October 8, 2019 by Chad Swiatecki
Austin Young Chamber will address the city’s transportation issues in its next LEAD Series about area policy and economic concerns. The “Future of Transit in Austin” event will feature Capital Metro CEO and President Randy Clarke as the speaker, addressing Capital Metro’s Project Connect Vision Plan and the future of mobility in the Austin region. With the area’s population on pace to double to more than 4 million people by 2040, Clarke will discuss how Austin will accommodate that growth with road capacity expected to increase by only 15 percent over the same time frame. The session will take place Oct. 25 at 11:30 a.m., at Texas Mutual Insurance’s headquarters in the Mueller development. Registration is available here.
