Austin Water continues cost of service study
Wednesday, January 4, 2017 by Nina Hernandez
Directly impact the size of your water bill in the coming years by attending Austin Water’s cost of service meeting tomorrow, Jan. 4, in Room 104 of the Waller Creek Center, 625 E. 10th Street. The utility’s Public Involvement Committee, made up of representatives from different customer classes, is working on a study into how rates should be established in the future. During the yearlong process, the committee will review the methodology used to divide costs between those customer classes to make sure the rates are fair. The findings are due to City Council in May. Find more information, including backup documents and agendas, at www.austintexas.gov/department/2016-cost-service-rate-study.
