Austin Energy to update public on electric vehicle program
Monday, March 27, 2017 by Nina Hernandez
Austin Energy’s Plug-In Electric Vehicle Readiness Initiative continues to work toward its goal of helping the community adapt to the new technology. The EV team, accompanied by Mayor Steve Adler and other “influential Austin leaders,” will talk about the progress they’ve made and how the tech fits into Austin’s future as a smart city at a launch event today at 4 p.m. Event organizers highly encourage attendees to arrive at the meeting place on West 2nd between Walter Seaholm Drive and Sandra Muraida Way by alternative forms of transportation. If you need help figuring out how to do that, visit the city’s website.
