AE general manager finalists announced
Tuesday, April 26, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano
On May 2, Austin is invited to meet the finalists for Austin Energy’s general manager position. The prospects have now been whittled down to four contenders. According to a press release, the city manager hopes to announce his choice for the position by mid-May. Among the four finalists is one local name: Debbie Kimberly, who is currently the vice president of Customer Energy Solutions at Austin Energy. The other three finalists are: Terrance P. Naulty, general manager of Owensboro Municipal Utilities in Owensboro, Kentucky; Jacqueline Sargent, general manager and CEO at the Platte River Power Authority in Fort Collins, Colorado; and James N. West, assistant general manager of the Snohomish County Public Utility District in Everett, Washington. The May 2 town hall will feature all four candidates and offer members of the public the opportunity to ask them questions. It will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Town Lake Center. More information about the candidates can also be found here. Former General Manager Larry Weis left the position in January and is now general manager at Seattle City Light. Austin Energy Chief Financial Officer Mark Dombroski has been serving in the position in the interim.
