Artist INC application process begins
Wednesday, January 4, 2017 by Nina Hernandez
The application process for Artist INC Live Austin, an eight-week creative entrepreneurship seminar taking place this summer, opened yesterday and will run through March 1. A result of a partnership between the city of Austin and the Mid-America Arts Alliance, the program consists of eight sessions. Artists across disciplines will receive mentorship, attend presentations and network to master the business side of their endeavors. That includes training in marketing, finance and technology. Applications go through a panel of representatives from the community, and will be based on “quality of artistic work, with consideration given for an artist’s career goals and overall readiness.” Attend one of four information sessions in the next two months or visit www.austintexas.gov/artistincatx to find out more.
