APL begins courtesy renewals
Thursday, July 5, 2018 by Elizabeth Pagano
Next week, the Austin Public Library launches a new practice: “courtesy renewals.” What does that mean? According to a press release from the library: “Materials that are ‘due today’ will be renewed if the items are eligible. The due dates of items will not be extended if they have been requested by other users, have already been renewed twice, or if your account is not in good standing.” Library patrons whose items are renewed will get an email with new due dates. The policy kicks in on Monday, July 9. Happy reading!
