AISD to participate in SXSWedu

On Monday, the Austin Independent School District kicked off its events for SXSWedu, a three-day portion of South by Southwest’s extravaganza that focuses on education. (And right out of the gate, the district won a $10,000 prize for an innovative idea to improve Texas education.) AISD staff is involved in nearly 15 education-related events. AISD Superintendent Paul Cruz, AISD Chief Officer for Teaching and Learning Edmund Oropez and other AISD staff will speak on two separate panels Wednesday about educational best practices and theories.
