Airport construction continues
Wednesday, July 6, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano
We get a lot of exciting news from the city. Yesterday, the Austin Monitor was delighted to receive word from ABIA that, at the moment, “barricades encircle the Austin-Bergstrom airport apron east expansion and footers for walkway supports start to take shape for four new temporary jet bridges. This is to prep for nine gate expansion project. New parking, pet boarding and hotel buildings continue to advance in construction stages while a terminal store reopens and another continues renovation work.” A lot of that is self-explanatory, but we will reveal that the “Longhorn Store” is functioning as a kiosk during renovations and the Barton Springs store has reopened at Gate 18. For more details, feel free to read the whole story on construction, sightlines and roofing here.
