Shipe Pool workshop this Wednesday
Tuesday, March 22, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano
Following up on a 2014 Aquatics Assessment by the city that identified the condition of Hyde Park’s Shipe Pool as “critical,” the Parks and Recreation Department will hold a “values workshop” this Wednesday at the Griffin School Auditorium from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. The meeting will give residents a chance to provide feedback on proposed renovations to the pool. According to a statement from the city, “Due to the condition of the facility deck area, pool bottom and sides, coping (the material around the top edge of the pool) and the condition of the water circulating system, there is a high potential that the entire pool and facility be redesigned and the pool reconstructed in place.” More information about the workshop and Shipe Pool project can be found here.
