FastForward to train small, innovative businesses
Monday, February 8, 2016 by Nora Ankrum
The city’s Economic Development Department is offering a new training program for small Austin businesses looking to grow. Targeted toward businesses that “embrace innovation,” the FastForward Entrepreneur Training Program is open to applicants who “are ready to utilize new technology, offer novel business models, pursue fresh markets, or have a concept to create enhanced value for their enterprise,” according to an announcement from the city. Led by the IC2 Institute (based at UT-Austin), classes for the 12-week program (April 5-June 23) will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6 to 9 p.m. Applications are due Feb. 29; only 20 businesses will be accepted.
