We know you know what you think of Austin, but do you know what Austin thinks of Austin? For those that want to get a jump on that knowledge, the annual public engagement survey is out and ready to be perused. The full report is online here. This year, it includes information about budget priorities – a timely topic considering budget season is in full swing, with a public hearing planned for the next City Council meeting. We won’t get into the details right now, but will note that this very Austin sentiment has survived another year: “Austin residents are divided over the direction of the city, with newcomers more optimistic than longtime residents.”
