Happy Independence Day!
Wednesday, July 4, 2018 by Elizabeth Pagano
The Austin Monitor will be observing Independence Day today and will return to our regular publishing schedule on Thursday. We hope all of our readers have a happy and safe July Fourth. Likewise, many city offices and facilities will be closed for the holiday. City administrative and municipal facilities, library branches, recreational facilities and cultural centers will be closed. Trash collection will remain on schedule. And, on July 4, many downtown roads will be closed for the HEB Austin Symphony July 4th Concert and Fireworks. To see a complete list of closures surrounding the fireworks, click here. For a list of city closures and modified hours, click here.
