City launches Austin Street Design Guide
Thursday, June 15, 2017 by Nina Hernandez
The Austin Street Design Guide makes its public debut next Tuesday, June 20. The guide, an effort spearheaded by the Austin Transportation Department, will be the basis for updates to the Transportation Criteria Manual that explains that element of the Land Development Code. For the rest of the year, the city is planning to pilot the designs “through capital projects as well as the development process,” according to a Wednesday press release, “in coordination with the development of the Austin Strategic Mobility Plan and CodeNEXT.” Take part in the open meeting on June 20 at 8 a.m. in Room 325 of the One Texas Center.
