Zeus of video boards coming to ABIA

Tuesday, October 3, 2017 by Nina Hernandez

Maybe it goes without saying, but we here at the Austin Monitor are big-screen fans. So it was with some excitement that we received news yesterday that the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (specifically, between gates 9 and 10) will soon be home to one of the largest “double-sided Airport suspended video displays in the country.” And its name, you ask? Zeus, of course. What else do you name a screen that is 16-feet wide and 10-feet tall hanging about 50 feet in the air? The airport estimates it will have Zeus fully installed by November, so hopefully it can begin greeting passengers with advertising and messages about airport events before the holidays. There’ll also be two other massive screens installed near the escalators to the baggage claim. “This will double the size of the current escalator video boards that also run Welcome to Austin messages,” the airport said. Stay tuned.
