You can be a “Community Health Champion”
Thursday, May 11, 2023 by Bob Sechler
If you’d like to learn more about and collaborate in the ongoing efforts to improve the health of Central Texas residents, here is your chance. Central Health is seeking participants in its annual five-month Community Health Champions workshop series, in which you’ll learn about the health care system for Travis County residents with low income and how Central Health and its partners collaborate to address health disparities. Apply for the 2023 class here. There are five in-person monthly workshops from August through December, and participants must attend at least three to receive a certificate of completion, according to Central Health. Makeup activities will be available for up to two absences. More information is available here.
