Use your good sense to help the city plan its budget
Thursday, June 9, 2016 by Kayleigh Hughes
Got opinions about city services and budget priorities? You probably do! And the Austin Budget Office wants to hear it. The office is seeking resident input and feedback in the form of an interactive Austin Budget Simulator, which allows you to provide funding preferences for 11 different city service categories. The simulator has versions in English and Spanish, and both versions are also compatible with screen-reading technology. Results from the simulator will be included in the Public Engagement Report to be released in August 2016. The Austin Budget Office is working hard to promote the interactive survey, providing information and encouraging free public computer access at all city libraries and attending local community events wearing blue Dollars & Sense t-shirts.
