City Council convenes today, kicking off a week of meetings focused on the Land Development Code rewrite that promises to end with a second vote on the draft. Council has potential meetings today, Wednesday and Thursday. Those who are following the process, which is scheduled to end in March, might want to head over to the City Council Message Board, where Council members have publicly posted their proposed amendments to the draft code. In related news, a legal challenge to the rewrite has been postponed. The case was set for trial on Feb. 18, but both parties have agreed to a new trial date of Monday, March 9.
