TNC battle continues … in the streets

OK, maybe that headline is a little dramatic. But on Wednesday, the battle over ride-hailing regulations and the upcoming May election continued outside of City Hall with “Vote For Prop 1” (nee RideSharing Works for Austin) holding a press conference at the Blind Pig downtown, encouraging Austinites to (unsurprisingly) vote for Prop 1. In response, Our City, Our Safety, Our Choice issued its own statement decrying claims from the opposition that a vote against the ballot measure “is a vote to drive ridesharing out of town” and stressing a recent vote by the Travis County Democratic Party to oppose Prop 1.
