Stormwater Working Group meeting schedule announced
Thursday, August 3, 2017 by Nina Hernandez
The Stormwater Working Group making drainage infrastructure recommendations to the Bond Election Advisory Task Force ahead of a 2018 bond proposal meets Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at the Terrazas Branch of the Austin Public Library, 1105 E. Cesar Chavez St. The group has five members: Dorsey Twidwell, John McNabb, Tom Nuckols and Rob Walker. As we reported last month, the city is looking to this bond proposal to fund many of the projects necessary to reduce the risk of flooding. If approved by voters, the bond could free up space in the Watershed Protection Department’s budget that could be used for further stormwater management improvements.
