State reps discuss 2017 priorities

State Reps. Donna Howard, Eddie Rodriguez, Celia Israel and Gina Hinojosa will gather tonight for a forum and community engagement event on major issues due to come up in the 85th Texas Legislature. Each rep will introduce themselves and discuss their priorities for this legislative session and put forward ideas on how lawmakers and community members can build a network that can achieve those goals. After the panel, the Center for Public Priorities’ Ann Beeson will talk civic engagement in a brief presentation. The event will take place at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex, 1156 Hargrave St., beginning at 6 p.m.
