Planning department schedules fresh slate of CodeNEXT talks

Tuesday, March 28, 2017 by Nina Hernandez

The city continues its CodeNEXT outreach with the newly announced Code Talk series. It will consist of five sessions from now until June that cover environmental, affordability, mobility and other issues. Residents can ask questions about those specific aspects of the new code, listen to what their neighbors think and talk to the actual code writers responsible for revamping the city’s land use rules. The first talk, on the environment, is scheduled for 5 p.m. this Wednesday, March 29, at City Hall, where a group of five panelists will discuss water conservation, flood mitigation, preservation and other open space issues. Those panelists include Ilse Frank of Studio Balcones, TBG Partners’ Clark Bockhahn and UT’s Robert Paterson. View the full schedule here, and find more information about CodeNEXT on the project’s website.
