Participate in this year’s Community Health Assessment
Tuesday, October 3, 2017 by Nina Hernandez
Every year, Austin and Travis County put together a Community Health Assessment to take stock of our health as a community. The study paints a picture of the overall status of health care in this region, and identifies areas that health and human service agencies can focus on moving forward. Before the report can be officially released, it has to go through a public comment period, which started last week and continues through Oct. 27. According to a Monday press release, “(Austin Public Health officials) specifically want to know your opinion on two chapters: Key Themes and Community Themes and Strengths. Is anything missing? Do you think this is an accurate portrayal of health in your community?” Review the report here and email chachip@austintexas.gov with any feedback.
