More opportunities to get vaccinated
Wednesday, October 13, 2021 by Tai Moses
We never tire of telling our readers about opportunities to get the lifesaving Covid vaccine. This week brings many convenient vaccine distribution events hosted by Travis County, Austin Public Health and their local community partners, taking place at libraries, schools and grocery stores. While the region has just downgraded to Stage 3 of the Covid-19 risk-based guidelines, county Health Authority Dr. Desmar Walkes urges community members to “stay vigilant and get vaccinated to help prevent another surge.” To find the vaccine clinic closest to you, check the county’s online calendar and map. No appointments are required. Pfizer booster shots are available to fully vaccinated individuals who meet the eligibility requirements.
