Monday, August 15, 2016 by Nora Ankrum

Montopolis residents are in the process of nominating a representative to the Community Development Commission, which advises City Council on programs – particularly those that are federally funded – for primarily low-income members of the community. Residents will nominate and elect a representative to the commission at a meeting on Aug. 24. The meeting will take place at the Montopolis Recreation Center, 1200 Montopolis Drive, Room 4. The proceedings begin at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Montopolis residents are invited to vote as well as to nominate candidates. Participants should bring proof of age (must be at least 18 years old) and proof of residence.
