Mark your calendars for the small business contracting forum
Friday, February 14, 2020 by Chad Swiatecki
The city has scheduled a forum to assist small business owners interested in contracting opportunities through its purchasing office. The free forum will feature an overview on procurement opportunities, the city’s technology needs in information tech and other areas, and breakout sessions on registering as a city vendor, managing the city’s payment process, submitting bids and proposals, specific needs related to the expansion of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and how eligible businesses can become certified for minority- and women-owned business programs. A full rundown and registration information is online, and questions can be directed to the purchasing department via purchasingoutreach@austintexas.gov. March 4, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Palmer Events Center.
