Manor Road has finally arrived
Friday, December 16, 2016 by Nina Hernandez
The Manor Road Merchants Association, ATXN and the city’s Economic Development Department teamed up to showcase the restaurants, shops and bars that line the stretch of road between Interstate 35 and Airport Boulevard in a promotional video released Wednesday. Some of the featured businesses include Hoover’s Cooking, in.gredients, Unit-D Pizzeria and Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop. As is probably the case with all locally produced promos, the video is at once charming and a bit cheesy as it runs down the attractions that make Manor Road a destination for people from other parts of the city. The effort is part of the Economic Development Department’s Soul-y Austin Business District Incubator, a program aimed at cultivating these kinds of districts across the city. Support the cause by taking part in #MerryManor deals on Saturday, Dec. 17.
