Major in Barton Springs

Barton Springs University is back. Hosted by the Save Our Springs Alliance, the city of Austin, the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District, the University of Texas Environmental Science Institute and the Save Barton Creek Association, this annual event packs in a full 12 hours of activities for Barton Springs enthusiasts. Participants will learn all about the springs from “the region’s top experts on the science, use and management of our Central Texas waters,” plus there will be swimming, snorkeling and live music. The event takes place Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Details are available here.
