Learn how HOT funds are equitably allocated

Wednesday, October 7, 2020 by Tai Moses

If you’re interested in learning how the city ensures an equitable review process for the distribution of Austin’s Hotel Occupancy Tax funds, you’ll want to attend this public presentation put on by the Economic Development Department. HOT funds support “arts, heritage and music cultural funding with intentional focus on equity and inclusion.” Who does this impact? According to the EDD, “Creatives, groups, and organizations who are interested in pursuing project or organizational support through any of the city’s HOT-funded programs.” Current HOT-funded programs include the Live Music Fund, the Heritage Grant Program, Cultural Arts Community Initiatives and more. The online event takes place this evening, Oct. 7, from 7-8 p.m. Register on Eventbrite.
