Last day to apply for equity mini-grant

Monday, September 10, 2018 by Chad Swiatecki

Today is the deadline for applications to the city’s new Equity Mini-Grant Fund created to help community organizations focused on improving the quality of life for Austin’s most vulnerable populations. The fund is a partnership of the Economic Development Department and Austin Public Health, with an initial round of $75,000 available in grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. The fund is intended to align with the city’s Strategic Direction 2023, which addresses equity concerns and opportunity gaps in local services. Applications will be reviewed by a panel made up of commissioners from the city’s four quality-of-life commissions as well as EDD, APH and the Equity Office. Applications are available here, while some of the priority criteria are available here. Awards will be announced in early October.
