Lane closures come to North Lamar
Tuesday, August 9, 2016 by Nora Ankrum
The city has issued a notice to motorists to expect nighttime traffic delays along North Lamar Boulevard between 39th and 45th streets. The Public Works Department began repaving that stretch of the road on Aug. 7 and will continue the project through Sunday, Aug. 28. During that time, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night. Motorists can expect some cross streets and driveways to be closed intermittently as well. In a traffic advisory about the project, the Public Works Department offered these words of solace: “The end result will provide a much smoother driving experience.”
