Keep Austin closed?

Wednesday, June 1, 2016 by Elizabeth Pagano

Way back in November 2014, the city’s Transportation Department and the Austin Center for Events issued a two-year moratorium on new downtown street events. Now, almost two years later, events and construction projects remain as inclined to close streets as before, and the city is considering a re-up. If you’d like to see the moratorium extended, if you’d like to see the moratorium come to its natural end, or if you are just looking for a way to be heard by the Transportation Department and ACE at the same time, head over to SpeakUp Austin to take a survey on the proposal.
