Tuesday, March 1, 2016 by Nora Ankrum
For those of you who didn’t make it to early voting for the Republican and Democratic primary elections – and judging by Friday’s tally of remaining registered voters, there are 549,938 of you – today is the day. Voters will be casting ballots not only for the Republican and Democratic presidential nominees but in local and state contests as well, including the races for Travis County sheriff, Travis County Commissioners Court Precinct 1 and Precinct 3, and state Rep. Elliott Naishtat’s District 49 House seat. For the entire list of candidates, see the Secretary of State’s website.
To find a voting location, see the Travis County website. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
