This year’s event features a special guest: Mitchell Silver, commissioner of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, who oversees 30,00 acres of urban parkland. According to the press release, Silver “will discuss how Austin can create iconic, cutting-edge parks that are equitable for a diverse community.” Tickets are $35, which includes lunch, and can be purchased here. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., The LINE Austin, Onyx Ballroom, 111 E. Cesar Chavez St.
