Council strategy workshop today

City Council has decided to get away from it all today (sort of), if getting away means sitting together at the airport’s Aviation Planning and Engineering Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and talking about how to achieve “a complete community where every Austinite has choices at every stage of life,” according to a planning document for the workshop. Today’s workshop will not be televised, so those most interested in hearing what happens there will have to go to the airport. The agenda includes discussions about health, economic opportunity and affordability, mobility, safety, cultural and learning opportunities, and “government that works for all of us.”
