Council meeting this Sunday
Thursday, November 5, 2015 by Elizabeth Pagano
Yesterday, Mayor Steve Adler set a special-called City Council meeting for this Sunday, Nov. 8. Council Member Delia Garza pushed for the meeting, which will address the needs of Dove Springs following the Halloween weekend flooding. According to a press release, “The Mayor and the Council will discuss buyouts, recovery efforts, and assistance in anticipation of holding a community-wide meeting in Dove Springs later that week. ‘The Dove Springs community needs us to make some important decisions so it can move forward in its recovery from the Halloween weekend flood,’ said Mayor Adler. ‘We have work to do to both recover from the recent flood and to prepare for the next one.'” The meeting will take place at 2 p.m.
